Quranic Arabic, sometimes called Classical Arabic, is the specific form of the Arabic language used in the Holy Quran. While it shares the same alphabet and basic grammar as Modern Standard Arabic, the language used in news and everyday writing, Quranic Arabic features its own distinctive vocabulary, intricate rhetorical style (Balagha), and sentence structures that don’t appear in modern speech. Learning it isn’t the same as learning to speak conversational Arabic; it’s learning to read directly, without relying on someone else’s translation.
